My name is Matt Landauer. I am a 39 year old, passionate, principled, constitutional conservative. I work my tail off as a husband, father of 5 beautiful children, and employer of 25 hardworking Coloradoans. I follow Jesus Christ, and I trust Him for the strength to fight for the America our forefathers pledged their sacred honor to create and defend.
So that’s my elevator pitch, but here’s the truth…and why you need to elect me to represent you this summer in Tampa, Florida.
I am a piece of good fruit amid a generation that is spiritually and politically dead. I don’t say this to boast, rather I want you to know that I wake up every day and pray to God that he will keep me close to the vine.
As a 4 time business owner over the last 20 years, I insist that I am not some business tycoon, nor do I aspire to be. I am simply following my calling, both from God and our founders to be self-reliant, hard working, principled, and above all, a role model for younger generations.
I have had the honor for the last 11 years to be a part of, and to lead as it’s president, a great organization locally and internationally, called the Young Entrepreneur’s Organization. This group consists of young men and women from all over the world who founded and own businesses that exceed $1Million dollars of annual revenue. While this is an impressive group by worldly standards, I want to share something that is probably going to shock many of you in this room here today.
A majority of members of this group here in Colorado are either not interested in politics or they are registered Democrats. Case in point: Two of the founding members of this group in Colorado are Governor John Hickenlooper and US Congressman Jared Polis; two men whom I have tremendous respect for as businessmen, but I don’t think I would necessarily call either of them political role models.
Now, think about this for a minute…
If the majority of Colorado entrepreneurs aren’t with us, what do you think that says about the rest of my generation?
And without a conservative reformation of historical proportions, what do think is happening to the next generation…and the one after that?
I’ll tell ya folks; if this doesn’t keep you up at night, you’re in the wrong building!
I urge you, today, to send me, and every other young, passionate conservative here, to Tampa, Florida this summer. I will fight for my generation. I will fight for you.
